• You will have a thorough eye examination to determine if you are a candidate.
    • For several weeks prior to your surgery, you cannot wear your contact lenses. By doing so it would affect the shape of your cornea and ultimately affect your surgery.
    • Make sure you read and understand your consent form before your surgery. If there is something you don’t understand or are not sure of, don’t be afraid to ask any questions. We want you to be fully informed.
    • You cannot wear makeup 24-36 hours before surgery as well as a few weeks after.
    • You will not be able to drive on the day of your procedure. Prepare arrangements for someone to drive you home.
    • Although your vision will dramatically improve after your procedure, you may experience a slight haze or glow for a few days.
    • If you have any questions regarding the LASIK technology, then talk to us! We will gladly answer any and all of the questions you may have.
    • You will have to follow a strict regimen of eye drops to aid the healing process in order to achieve the most effective results.
    • A protective shield will be given to you as a precaution to prevent injury while you sleep.
    • Although you will be awake during the laser vision correction procedure, you will be given medication to help you relax and feel comfortable.
