Dr. Narendra Armogan truly exemplifies what OCCLASIK is all about. He is an internationally recognized leader in the ophthalmologic field of retinal cell transplants. He has been recognized on multiple occasions, such as in 2006 when he was the recipient of the prestigious Scientific Award of Excellence by the American Retina Foundation (ARF) for his groundbreaking work of using stem cell transplants to cure retinal diseases. In addition to his excellence in retinal research, Dr. Armogan is responsible for leading several surgical firsts in Canadian medical history. Prominent examples include the first anti-VEGF therapy and multifocal lens implantations by a retinal surgeon with the first radial optic neurotomy performed in Canada.
Dr. Armogan also has vast clinical experience in cataracts, age-related macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusion, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, macular holes, neovascular glaucoma, and macula edema.
